In 1996, principal officer James Pye and his colleagues founded a company involving lake management and lake fountain sales and service. They have installed, cleaned, and repaired literally hundreds of fountains. While servicing the many different makes and models, they found numerous design imperfections in every fountain. These imperfections led to difficult servicing and/or the replacement of expensive fountain parts. Each fountain had a unique flaw in its design and did not aerate, all it did was put on a show without improving water quality. After several seasons, James discovered that he could design a display aerator and make certain that this display aerator would not posses any of the design flaws that other companies had endured. Consequently, he went on to design the highest quality display aerator available today.

James has contracted several large companies to custom manufacture the key parts of this display aerator out of the highest quality material available; from heavy duty U.V. stabilized floats to industrial quality stainless steel parts. After three years of extensive research, testing, and negotiations, Aquatic Aeration Systems was born and was "armed to the teeth".

While some companies may have many spray patterns available, the nozzles that make their spray patterns possible are usually one of the largest problems. In other words, a fountain with a bad nozzle design may put off a great spray pattern in the beginning (or look great in their web site photos), but in time, the performance of that nozzle will be compromised by debris, vegetation, etc. It will begin to loose its balance resulting in poor performance and aesthetics. This lack of performance will restrict the water-flow, which is an essential element to ensure the life of the motor, Not only does the fountain look weak and feeble, it will eventually damage the vital parts of the unit.

AAS currently offers three beautiful, powerful, and very popular spray patterns, that have been thoroughly tested and perfected. These three high volume display aerator nozzles will deliver their peak performance for many years. All three high volume nozzles, once installed in your pond or lake, will posses a true sense of presence. Yet, after more extensive research, testing, and modifying, AAS will release at least two more high quality nozzles that will deliver a sophisticated spray pattern, while giving you years of "clog free, service free service."
